Practical details for Walk Church Sunday 27th March 2022.

Posted: 25 March, 2022 | Category: Walks

Mothering Sunday Walk, this Sunday, St. Mary’s Kenardington, meet 1:45 for 2pm. TN26 2NQ.

The weather is set to be sunny in the afternoon, but not as warm as in recent days.  There will be wide views across the Romney Marsh, so worth packing binoculars.

After the walk, there will be some tea and cake.

Practical information:
Remember the clocks change this weekend! – We get up an hour earlier!

The route is 3.8miles, (6.1km).  The main challenge will crossing the six stiles, which must a be record for a Walk Church event. A couple of the stiles are a bit unstable.   One other challenge might be a slightly wobbly sleeper bridge over a marshy bit of ground.  When the route was walked, some 10 days ago, there was a lot of surface water in some of the fields; this might well have dried up by now.  Sheep were encountered in one field.  No other livestock.

Parking:  There is an excellent car park adjacent to the Church; but your main challenge be finding it!  The entrance to the church and car park is shared with a couple a couple of house; the entrance is not immediately obvious.  I plan to put out a sign.

The church has a toilet, which will be opened for our use.

Look forward to welcoming you.
