Walk Church Egerton, St. James. TN27 9AJ, 23rd May 2021
Walk Church gathers next week Sunday 23rd May 2pm, this time meeting Egerton Church, St James. If there is interest, I may offer a slightly shorter walk meeting at 10:30am.
I was drawn to Edgerton thinking about the neighbouring apple orchards, with the apple trees in bloom, and seeing the river Stour. But actually when I came walk the route, what really arrested me was the vibrancy and abundance of yellow, from the fields of rapeseed in flower. Another surprise was discovering a burial mound, which I believe is Saxon. More about that on Sunday.
We’ll be meeting on Pentecost Sunday, the day we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit, not restricted to a small group who had experienced the ministry of Jesus, but all who hear and respond to the gift of the Holy Spirit.
