Walk Church Sunday 5th December, TN17 4DL.

Posted: 27 November, 2021 | Category: Walks

On a dazzlingly bright crisp autumn day Tim Bentley and I walked the route for Walk Church Sunday 5th December.  A route which takes us through some of the formative history of the High Weald; earth workings of the medieval iron industry and hornbeam coppice, and some great views of the High Weald.   I much hope for similar weather when we meet, a week on Sunday for our Advent Walk.

It is with particular thank to the PCC of St. George’s Benenden who have provided the legal support to enable us to meet.

Practical information
We meet at St. George Benenden. Parking in front of the church. Postcode TN174DL. The route is 5.2miles long.   Given it gets dark soon after 4pm we’ll need to be mindful of time, so the sermon will be short! – and we plan to leave promptly at 2pm.  However it might still be worth having a torch with you.

The only livestock we met were sheep in a couple of fields.  There was one stile.  Parking available in front of the church.

It’s helpful to know if you plan to come, so do drop me a line if you hope to join us.

Best wishes
