Walk Church Kenardington, Sunday 24th March 2024
A pilgrimage in search of white flowers might appear premature on Palm Sunday, that colour being more associated with Easter day. We heard the story of Jesus entering Jerusalem accompanied by the expectant crowd, with a backdrop, as we had hoped, of a sea of wood anemones.
These early white flowers gave a foretaste of the Resurrection celebrations this coming Sunday. Even as we entered Holy Week, that most solemn period in the church calendar, it was as if nature couldn’t wait to declare the Resurrection and the majesty of God.
