Walk Church Sunday, Charing Heath, 28th September 2025
Each gathering of Walk Church is unique, made special through our conversation, the celebration of nature, and the way scripture speaks to us. The unique, special moments that happen along the way are always unpredictable.
That was certainly true last Sunday as we walked through a farmyard and were delighted to discover a surprise welcome of apples and juice. The farmer had met me during my reconnaissance walk and had clearly noted when we were due to return.
Then, one of our party, Janet Gwillim, a former midwife, remembered this was a farm where she had delivered a baby many years ago. What an incredibly special and unexpected reunion to see the child’s father and midwife reunited some 40 years later!
Walk Church is indeed about celebrating life in all its fullness.
